New Jersey residents who live outside Hudson County and wish to attend Hudson County Community College may be eligible for CCOG.
In cases where a student enrolls at an out‐of‐county college and meets all eligibility requirements for a CCOG award, the student’s CCOG award amount shall be computed based upon the in‐ county tuition rate for the student’s home county college. CCOG awards do not cover additional tuition charges attributable to the difference between the tuition rate charged by a student’s home county college tuition and the out‐of‐county college tuition rate charged when that student enrolls at an out‐of‐county college.
Example 1: Student who is a CCOG award recipient attending HCCC receives a $1,000 Pell Grant, a $600 TAG award and $250 SEOG Grant. The calculation for the semester CCOG award will be as follows:
Example 2: Student who is a CCOG award recipient attending HCCC receives no grant or scholarship aid, but receives a $1,500.00 Federal Direct Student Loan The calculation for the semester CCOG award will be as follows:
Note: Student loans and Federal Work Study are NOT deducted from the Tuition and Fees.
Example 3: Student who is a CCOG award recipient attending HCCC receives $1,000 institutional scholarship, $500 in Federal Work Study and $1,000.00 Federal Plus Loan The calculation for the semester CCOG award will be as follows:
*Students receiving federal grants, state grants, institutional and community grants and scholarships which cover either their full tuition or full cost of attendance, are not eligible to receive the CCOG award.
